RALPH F. TICE JR.
Ralph F. Tice, Jr., 71, of Follansbee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at The Laurels of Steubenville. Born on July 6, 1954, in New Martinsville, he was the son of the late Ralph F. Tice, Sr. and Arzetta E. Freeland Tice. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his cherished granddaughters, Alayna Michelle and Riley Nicole; his brothers, Billy Tice (late Cheryl) and Danny Tice (late Marcia); and his sister, Sara Tice.
Ralph was raised in Wick, West Virginia, and on September 28, 1971, married the love of his life, Deborah Tibbs. Together they built a loving home and raised their family in Follansbee. A man of strong Christian faith and tireless work ethic, Ralph spent many years working at Starvaggi Mine before later serving as a shift manager for Cronimet.
Known for his resourcefulness and determination, Ralph could fix nearly anything and was truly a jack of all trades. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on projects with his hands. Yet, above all his accomplishments, Ralph’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to his three daughters, and a proud and deeply adored “Pap” to his grandchildren, who meant the world to him.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 54 years, Deborah Tibbs Tice; daughters Tracy Royal (Chris), Melissa “Missy” Thomas (Bob), and Emily Tice (Joel Walker); and his treasured grandchildren, Cash Walker Tice, Steven Michael Adams, Zeke Ellis Adams, Benny Riley Walker, Maddy Jade Walker, Noah Anthony Walker, Abagail Grace Walker, Janelle Renee Royal and Jaelynn Arnelle Royal.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home in Weirton. Online condolences may be shared at www.steelandwolfe.com.
