MICHAEL RUSSIN
Michael Russin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our oldest sibling, John Michael Russin, age 83, on May 23, 2026, at Parkview Community in Sandusky, Ohio. Formerly of Roseville, California, John passed away from advanced Parkinson’s disease.
John was born on October 23, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha, and his parents, Anna and Peter Russin. He is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Jean) of Huron, Ohio, Marianne (Robert) of Port Clinton, Ohio, and J. Timothy (Susan) of Lithia, Florida, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Eastmoor High School in Columbus and Franciscan University of Steubenville. He enjoyed a successful career in sales before co-owning Russin Associates, an interior design and furnishings firm, with his wife, Marsha. For several decades, they served residential, commercial, medical, hospitality, and entertainment clients throughout Southern California and later in Roseville, California.
John will be greatly missed for his tremendous work ethic, intellect, communication skills, and dedication to mentoring family members and aspiring professionals. John and Marsha traveled the world in a continual search for innovative and creative ideas to inspire their work and clients. He also possessed an extensive knowledge of automotive history, design, and competitive NHRA drag racing.
The family extends special thanks to local family members and caregiver Kim for their help, compassion, and support. In lieu of flowers, John requested donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
