MICHAEL MCABEE
Michael David McAbee, 77, of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1948, the son of the late Harry and Olaine (Whaley) McAbee. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael McAbee Jr., a brother, Hugh “Mac” McAbee, six sisters, Marge Kelly, Jean Hawkey, Ruth Stimpak, Nancy Wright, Vonda Moore and Virginia Gijtka.
Dave is survived by a daughter, Michele (Bill) Ware, of New Cumberland, two grandsons, William (Amber) Ware and Shawn Ware; six great-grandchildren, Shawn Michael, Paxton, Talon, Marybelle, Olivia and Logan. He is also survived by a brother, Harry McAbee, of Colliers and a sister Patty Ingram of WV.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell, from 2 pm to 6 pm and a funeral service will be held on Sunday at 11 am.
