DONA JANE HUDOK

She was born November 9, 1930, in Wellsburg, WV and was raised by her grandparents the late Walter and Nettie Schweitzer. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Phillip Hudok.

Dona graduated from Follansbee High School in 1948 and attended the University of Mount Union. In her early years she worked for Dr. Edward Cox in Steubenville, OH for six years and later retired after many years from Brooke County Schools where she worked as a secretary at Hooverson Heights Elementary School and later for the Board Office. Dona was a lifelong member of the Follansbee Presbyterian Church and served as Elder, Clerk of Session, Sunday School Treasurer, a Sunday School Teacher, Director of the Youth Choir, a choir member for 50 years, and served on church mission trips in various areas of West Virginia for 13 years. She also was past president of the Hooverson Heights P.T.A., second vice-president of the Follansbee Women’s Civic League, and a life member of the County Council of P.T.A.

Dona is survived by four devoted children, Terry (Rosanne) Hudok of Beaver, PA, Suzie Hudok of Follansbee, WV, Beth Schuetz of Wheeling, WV, and Ron (Jane) of Gibsonia, PA; five grandchildren, Carly Schuetz, Holly Schuetz, Andrew Schuetz, and Kait (Michael) Nickasch and Sloane Hudok; along with one great-granddaughter, Wrenna Nickasch.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4-7 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home at 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Frank Haas officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
