RODNEY “ROD” ROSS
RODNEY “ROD” ROSS
Rodney S. Ross “Rod,” a Peoria, Arizona resident and Steubenville, Ohio native, was born October 4, 1961 and passed away March 17, 2026 at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Arizona.
Rod was, above all, a family man. Devoted, hardworking, and never far from a joke that nobody saw coming.
He loved life in hands-on, simple ways: gardening, grilling for the people he loved, and hours at the card table. He was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan who cheered with the same intensity he brought to everything else.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Ross, and brother, Richard Ross. He is survived by his mother, Lucretia Peterson-Ross; his adult children, Roxanne and Erik Ross; the mother of his children, Dawn Ross; and his sister, Robin Ross and her children, Jeremy and Jenna Ross.
Rod will be remembered for his strength, his humor, and the many ways he showed up for the people in his life. And for his children, the echo of him will live on in the chant they’ll carry forward, shouting “OH,” and forever missing him answering “IO.”
A memorial service will be held April 12, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at Rio Vista Park, Peoria, Arizona
