DARLA LALICH
Darla D. Lalich, 79, of Steubenville died Saturday, February 20, 2026 at Trinity West ER. She was born August 27, 1946 in Wheeling. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Straka and Norma Lowe Peck. She is also preceded in death by her brother Keith Straka and twin sister Darene Waszkiewicz.
Darla was a retired secretary who worked many years at Ohio Valley Hospital and Steubenville City Schools. She was Catholic by faith and loved spending time with her family. Darla was a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1964.
Surviving are her husband David “Pokey” Lalich, whom she married May 24, 1969; sons David of Steubenville and Michael of North Carolina; brother in law Ray Waszkiewicz; grandchildren Sophia, Izzy, Luca, Emmett and Elody.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 pm until time of services at 4 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Fr. Matthew Gossett will officiate and burial will be held at a later date in Union Cemetery.
