MARY KAY DOJONOVIC
Mary Kay Dojonovic, 90, of Mingo Junction, OH passed away Saturday January 24, 2026, at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
She was born in Toronto, OH, on August 6, 1935, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Herrick) Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Dojonovic on June 17, 2006; and five siblings: Pauline Tulencik, Fran DiBiase, Joe Andrews, Al Andrews and Tom Andrews.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa, and her husband Robert “Bob” Heile of Coraopolis, PA and a son, Robert J. Dojonovic of Fort Mitchell, KY.
After graduating high school, Mary Kay worked as a legal secretary and sang in a band. She met the love of her life, Bob, bowling at Hollywood Lanes from where they eloped February 24, 1964 to Winchester VA.
Mary Kay was a homemaker and loved gardening. Our house was full of love and happiness; a place our friends were always welcome, usually with cookies. Later in life she enjoyed attending Silver Sneakers, sitting on her porch, eating out with her kids, and watching sports. Go REDS! She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church. Her neighbor Rosalie Chambers was a dear friend of 60 years and she shared a special bond with her beloved niece Sylvia Pamphilis.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH on Friday January 30th from 10:00am until the time of her funeral service at Noon with the Very Rev. Stavrophor Rajok Kosic, officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo.
