SUZANNE LEWIS
Suzanne Michelle (Holm) Lewis, 59, of Steubenville passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, with her husband Stephen and caregiver Sue at her side.
She was born April 9, 1966, in Taylorville, IL. She is preceded in death by her father Michael Deuel, and her mother Judith Holm.
Suzanne was a passionate teacher, catechizing over 1,000 children in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd over a 30-year period. She loved Jesus and followed him ardently through the charism of Fr. Luigi Giussani and the Catholic movement Communion and Liberation. Beginning in 2016 she founded and ran the non-profit cultural organization Revolution of Tenderness, and established its art and community center, The Studio, in Steubenville in 2023. Many enjoyed her boundless generosity and love, especially her family.
Suzanne is survived by her husband of 35 years, Stephen, and their four children, Sophie (Ben), Simone, Serena, and Sylvie, and two grandsons, Joseph and Francis. She is also survived by her father Richard Holm, her sisters Danika (Bruce), Alison (Thomas), Pia (Christopher), her father-in-law Stephen, Sr. and sister-in-law Kimberly, and 11 nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1-5 p.m. Fr. Matthew Gossett will officiate Mass at 10 a.m. at Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church on Monday, December 29, and private burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
