William Thomas Ross, 76, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at home.
He was born April 24, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. A son of the late Lester Neil & Virginia Irene (Chenoweth) Ross. He is also preceded in death by infant daughters Heather Marie & Jennifer Ann, an infant son Stephan Earl Ross and a brother Robert Neil "Bob" Ross.
Bill retired as a self-employed General Contractor; he was an Army Vietnam Veteran; a former Mayor for the city of New Cumberland; past commander of the New Cumberland VFW Post 3526; a hunter safety instructor and an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving is his wife Barbara Lynn (Hubbard) Ross at home, sons William Thomas Ross III of Weirton, WV & James Paul Ross of New Cumberland, WV, a daughter Virginia "Gingie" (Ryan) Ford of Morgantown, WV, a grandson Cohen Ross Ford of Morgantown, WV, a sister Louanne (Ed) Huff of Milton, WV, a brother John Phillip (Ann) Ross of North Kingstown, RI, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Turley Funeral Home LLC has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
