Theodore Franklin Poling, 91, of New Cumberland was called home Friday November 7, 2025 at Stone Pear Pavillion, Chester, WV.
Born in Wallace, WV on February 15, 1934. Son of the late Noah and Pearl Poling.
Besides his parents, he had five sisters and two brothers preceed him in death.
He lived in New Cumberland, WV. Worked at National and Weirton Steel for 40 years in the Tin Mill at the platter lines.
He was a Little League coach, an assistant Oak Glen football coach. He was a member of Point Pleasant United Methodist Church.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy Irona Gibson Poling; daughter, Victoria (Jon) Meissner of New Cumberland; sons, Gregory (YiJing) Poling of Shanghai, China, and P.K. (Rachel) Poling of Chester, WV; 10 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Guedel of Indianapolis, IN.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 15, 2025 at Point Pleasant UMC from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sarah Wilmoth officiating.
