JOHN SERAFINI

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. He is preceded in death by grandson Gregory, brother Carmine, and sisters Rita and Carmella. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara, his sons John, Michael, and Gregory, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren John, Carlo, Gabe, and Anthony, sister-in-law Margie, and several nieces and nephews.

One of his greatest achievements was being athletic director at Steubenville Catholic Central High School for 31 years and manager of the Catholic Community Center, he served the youth of the Ohio Valley with pride and passion.

One of his favorite pastimes was his trips to Myrtle Beach with friends and family. He also enjoyed going to the Ohio State High School basketball tournaments as well as his visits to Notre Dame for football games.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors of the ICU unit of Trinity West for the care they provided during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held Monday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Fr. Drake McCalister will celebrate. Burial will be held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
