EVELYN PARISE
Evelyn F. Parise, 97, of Wintersville died Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her home. She was born February 17, 1928 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Donato and Carmela Marzocco Orlando. Evelyn is also preceded in death by her husband, S. Matthew Parise, sister Lillian Giannamore and beloved dog Sampson who was always by her side.
Evelyn was retired from ODOT where she was an inventory clerk for many years. She was an avid cookie baker and was a part owner of the former Mama G’s Pizza and Catering. Evelyn was affectionately known to most of the community as Mama G. She was not only the face of Mama G’s, she was a working partner well into her 90’s. Evelyn loved life. She was loved by the community and she made friends with everyone she met and after that was their friend for life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She also loved traveling and while Las Vegas was a favorite place for her to go she also took cruises, went to key west, the Bahamas, and several places in Florida.
Surviving are son Matt Parise of Wintersville; daughter Deborah Bernardi of Weirton; one grandson Bryan (Melisa) and great grandson Nico.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
