SUE STROUD
Sue A. Stroud, 68, of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Steubenville, died Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at her home. She was born January 27, 1957 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Harold Cottrell and Vaun Williams Stroud. She is also preceded in death by her sister Candace Annibaldi; maternal grandmother Bessie Williams and paternal grandmother Esther Brown.
Sue attended Steubenville Catholic Central High School, upon completion, she became a proud graduate and valued employee of The Ohio State University, serving the finance department for 30 proud years. Needless to say, her love for Ohio State Buckeyes football ran deep enough to hold season tickets for a long time. After retiring she moved to North Myrtle Beach to be near her most beloved place, the ocean. Here, she would enjoy her time at the beach, swimming, as well as spending time with family. Lastly, her work and research of the family genealogy will leave a lasting legacy of history and stories for generations to come.
Surviving are sisters Stephanie (Dave) Ramsey of Richmond and Esther Stroud of Piqua, OH brother Edward “Bubba” (Andrea) Stroud of Hilliard, Uncle; Daniel Williams. Sue did not have any children of her own but she loved all of her many nieces, nephews, and cousins like they were her own.
Following her wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be determined at a later date.
