RICHARD “PETE” BAILEY

He was born on November 9, 1949, in Follansbee, WV a son of the late Albert and Ann (Rigby) Bailey.

He graduated from Follansbee High School in 1969. After high school he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Pete worked for Wheeling Nisson for 24 years as a coil inspector. He was a member of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete loved working in his garden and loved telling stories.

Pete is survived by two children, Glenn (Kelly Casey-Bailey) Bailey of Rayland, OH, Margaret “Peggy” (Brent) Hall of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren, Cole (Brittany) Harmon, Sydney Misenhelder, Devon Bailey, Kira (Cameron) Taylor; three great grandchildren, Daisy, Magnolia, and Kori; two brothers, Earl (Gina) Bailey of Colliers, WV, Mike (Cindy) Bailey of Follansbee, WV; two sisters, Linda Guiler of Colliers, WV, Suzie Tennant of Follansbee, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Pete will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Earl Bailey officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.

Full Military honors will be conducted by the US Navy and the Ohio Valley Veteran Memorial Squad.

Inurnment will be held privately.
