MICHAEL LAWRENCE
								Michael Craig Lawrence, 73, of The Ohio Valley, passed away on April 7, 2025, at UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in 1952 to Melvene and Burton Lawrence and lived most of his life in the Tri-State Ohio Valley area.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Michael served honorably as a Marine Mechanic (Boiler Technician) aboard the USS Benjamin Stoddert during the Vietnam War. He later retired from Koppers Industries, where he worked in several roles including head electrician.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Toni Nicole Lawrence; his sister, Oma Jean Smith; his brother, Fred Thomas Lawrence; his grandson, Braxton Henry Lawrence; and great-granddaughter, Mariana Lawrence. He was a beloved uncle to Aaron, Sara Smith, Brianna, Cassandra, and Brian O’Rourke, and cherished by the extended Newbold and Carson families.
He will be laid to rest at Fort Steuben Burial Estates at a later date when family members are able to travel. Cremation was his chosen form of remembrance and burial of remains ceremony date will be posted at a later time.
