Robert was predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Kayla Runkel and his brother Ronald Runkel, along with sisters, Loretta Keen and Dorothy Bever whom he deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory with so much love and admiration are his children, Allison (Barie) Quering of Atlasburg, PA, and David (Roshelle) Runkel, of Alpharetta, GA, his sister, Joyce (Bill) Shreve (New Cumberland, WV), many nieces and nephews as well as his grandchildren who were the light of his life: Amanda Runkel, Madison Runkel, Alexis Shick, Heather (Cameron) Bennett, Evan Robert Quering and Lacy Quering, as well as three great-grandchildren: Rosie, Graham and Meredith Bennett.
