CHARLES HENRY

Charles Conway Henry of Irondale, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on October 19, 1939, to Charles D. Henry and Margaret Henry. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Roy; his sister, Doris Smith; and his wife, Helen Ann (Hammack) Henry.

Charles graduated from Jefferson Union High School in 1957 and married Helen Ann in 1961, after she passed away, Charles married Mary Avis in 1998. He was a member of the Fellowship of Mt. Zion Church. He was initiated into the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 490 on February 6, 1958, and retired from Local 495 on July 1, 2000. Charles served in many offices in both Local 490 and 495. He was a Township trustee for Ross Township for 19 years. He loved his farm and cattle and his John Deere tractors. He also loved his family, his union, his country and his Lord. He will be missed by both family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Avis ((Kmatz) Stewart) Henry; sons, James “J.O.” (Peggy) Henry and Mark (Jackie) Henry; stepdaughter, Cindy (Domingo) Stewart-Fuentes; stepson, James Stewart; grandchildren, Steven (Jill) Henry, Charles (Anna Kinney) Henry, James Henry, Jonathan Stewart, Mycaela (Brad) Ensell, and Kolton, Kaeden, and Mychi Stewart; and great grandchildren, Samantha, Lynzee, and Gio.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, November 1, 2024, at the funeral home, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Irondale, Ohio.
