Mr. Ronald Lee Pittman of Auburn, IN, formerly of Weirton, WV, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, after an ongoing battle with cancer with his family at his side. He was 73 years old.
Ronald was born in Steubenville, OH, on February 15, 1951, to Thomas Pittman and Dorothy Fields Shedlock.
He attended Weir High School and enlisted in the United States Army in September of 1968. Ronald proudly served twenty years of honorable service ascending to the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the US Army in September 1988. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0097 in Auburn, IN.
Although he resided in Indiana, his Ohio Valley roots would annually find him cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a family man who adored his grandchildren.
Ronald was a fiercely rigid individual. Following policy to the letter, he accredits this demeanor from his time in the United States Army. It was a time worthy of acknowledgment and an absolute expression of a life, well lived.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Margaret Pittman, and brother Richard Pittman.
