JAMES JACKSON

He was born October 13, 1955, in Steubenville, the son of the late John and Helen (Willis) Jackson. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Arthur Jackson.

Jim graduated from Mingo High School in 1974. He was employed for thirty-four years as a motor inspector for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching Nascar races. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Steubenville.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Roberts) Jackson, whom he married November 15, 1988; three children: Nicholas (Emilee) Jackson of Steubenville, Melissa Jackson of Columbus, and Victoria Jackson of Steubenville; and two sisters: Barbara and Janet Porter. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Aiden Long, Olivia Jackson, and Anthony Jackson. Family and friends may call from 4:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

A private family service will be held. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Jim’s family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and staff of Valley Hospice for the heartfelt and loving care they showed to Jim and the rest of the family.
