MARY PATTERSON

She was born on March 14, 1933, in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Telvock) Mazezka, Sr. In addition to her parents Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Patterson; two brothers, Theodore Mazezka, Jr, Martin Mazezka; and two sisters, Martha Cabrera and Helen Trudick.

Mary graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1951 and Weirton Beauty Academy. She was a member of Follansbee United Methodist Church. Mary was a girl’s scout troop leader and past President of Franklin Primary P.T.A. She was past president for Brooke High Choir Boosters. She was best known for her many creative crafts and especially the numerous Brooke High Madrigal Choir gowns. She was also a very good baker who enjoyed making delicious pies and cookies for her family.

She is survived by two children, Rick (Sharon) Patterson of Wintersville, OH, Dorothy “Dolly” (Norman) Kidd of Vienna, WV; four grandchildren, Dr. Kacie Kidd (Dr. Trevor Jones), Amanda (Aaron) Geisinger, Ryan (Kerry) Patterson, and Kevin (Jessica) Kidd; seven great grandchildren; Aaden, Anderson, Aimee, Orla, Shona, Zoey and Emerson; three siblings, Dorothy Hale of Ainkenny, IA, George (Rosemary) Mazezka of Follansbee, WV, and Betty Leah (Keith) Elson of Wellsburg, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and again on Monday, April 15th from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Penny Calmbacher officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
