GENEVERA CRAGO
Genevera Mae Crago, 95, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2024. She was born in New Cumberland on August 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Clarence and Evie Lockett. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Crago, a son, Michael Crago, two sisters, Geneva Mercer and Eloise Mumford.
Genevera was the Matriarch of her family. She was a proud and loving Mother of five sons and a daughter.
She is survived by four sons, Dan (Jeanie) Crago, of North Carolina, Tim Crago of Weirton, Kevin Crago (Steve Richards) of North Carolina and Jay (Sarah) Crago of East Liverpool. A daughter, Jill Hanst, of New Cumberland, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also by a special niece Twila Beltrane, also by her nine feline fur-babies.,
Friends will be received on Friday, April 12, at the Nixon Funeral Home of New Cumberland, from 12 pm to time of service at 2 pm. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
