ELIZABETH BURCH

Born March 2, 1931, in Knob Fork, WV, she was the daughter of Albert and Iva (Sapp) Littell and was a lifelong member of New Manchester Christian Church.

Along with her parents, she is reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Don Burch; brothers John, William, Frank, and Chuck Littell, son Sonny Burch, and daughter Josephine Heinzman.

Betty was the heart of our family and always made sure that everyone around her felt loved and cared for. She was unendingly patient and kind to anyone who had the privilege of knowing her and always managed to find humor in every situation. Our mother valued God and family above all and taught her family to do the same. She insisted on hosting for every holiday, right up until the end-some of her last words being “I love everyone,” said while hosting one last time for a family blessed enough to call her “Grandma.”

She is survived and deeply missed by one son and two daughters-Walter (Debbie) Burch of New Cumberland, Glenna “Juanita” (Joseph) Crawford of New Manchester, and Robin (Don) Woofter of Columbus, OH; son-in-law Terry Heinzman of New Cumberland; daughter-in-law Cheryl Burch of New Cumberland; four sisters-Angie Riter, Ellen Burch, and Glenna Howell of New Cumberland, and Erma Stoneking of California; brothers Jeff Littell, Marvin Littell, and Jack (Joyce) Littell of Warren, OH; sister-in-law Rose Littell of New Manchester; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received today, Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Nixon Funeral Home of New Cumberland, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am. Interment will follow at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
