CHARLOTTE MADER

Charlotte Stefl Mader passed away on April 26, 2024. She was born August 18, 1932, in Mammoth, PA, at her grandparents’ farm. Parents James C. Stefl and Alice Stefl Barnes.

Charlotte graduated from ELHS in 1950. She worked at Ohio Bell Telephone Company after graduation until 1957. She then worked for National Church Supply until her retirement in 1997 last serving as the Sales Administrator. She was involved in the startup of the Lynn Murry Library in Chester. Charlotte was heavily involved in Credit Unions throughout her work career. She served with the NaCho Federal Credit Union including its merger with the now First Choice America Federal Community Credit Union. She served on the Education Committee at First Choice and the Weirton Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions Board of Directors. Charlotte was an avid reader and was fortunate to have traveled the world during her retirement. Above all, Charlotte was all about family. For 50 years, she organized annual family reunions that became wonderful events that all looked forward to annually.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence Stefl, and sister Virginia Obenour.

She is survived by her loving family, sons Frank (Sheri) Mader and Stevenson (Suzanne) Mader and daughter Kelly Mader. Grandchildren Frank Mader IV, Nicole (Dan) Wilkinson, Krista (Jason) Peddicord and Bryce (Lacey) Locke. Great grandchildren Mackenzie Mariotti, Murphy Mader, Maximus and Evelyn Wilkinson, Blake and Kylie Peddicord, and Jaxon and Parker Locke. She is also survived by brothers David Stefl, and Kenneth Stefl.

Rev. Norm Eckert will celebrate Charlotte’s life, Wednesday, May 1. 2024, at the Arner Funeral Chapel, at 6 p.m. Friends may visit with family, three hours before the service from 3-6 p.m.
