STANLEY WICKHAM
Stanley R. Wickham, 79, of Irondale, OH, passed away Sunday March 3, 2024, in the E. Liverpool City Hospital.
Stan was born May 30, 1944, in Stratton, OH, son of the late Thurl and Anna (Sedmack) Wickham.
Stan retired from the Timet Corp. in Toronto, OH, where he worked in the Forge Shop. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp., having served his country for six years, including a tour in Vietnam.
He was a member of the Wellsville American Legion Post 70, and the Irondale Fire Dept., where he served for many years as Asst. Chief.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Joan E. (Perkins) Wickham, whom he married July 5, 1962; son, Ed (Tammy Caristo) Wickham of Richmond, OH; two daughters, Betsy (Jeffrey) Cook of Wellsville, OH, and Heather (Bob) Leggett of Toronto; two sisters, one brother, and six grandchildren, Kelsie, Mandy, Katelyn, Shelby, Kourtnie, Jevin, eleven great grandchildren, and his trusty dog Zumba.
Visitation will be held Saturday March 9, from 11 am to 3 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, where his funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Pastor Dan Crowe will officiate, and a private burial will take place on Monday in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Following the service, Military Honors will be presented by the Toronto American Legion Post 86 Honor Guard.
