PATRICIA SEDERS
Patricia Ann DePoy Seders, age 82 years, a resident of Elkins, WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Mountain Memories Assisted Living and Retirement Center, under the care of Mountain Memories staff and WV Caring.
She was born on October 31, 1941, at Little Otter, near Gassaway, WV, the daughter of the late Russell and Ruby (Perrine) DePoy. On March 8, 1963, in Weirton, WV, she married the late Carl Seders. She is survived by her two sons, Rev. Brian (Susan) Seders of Elkins, WV, and Jason (Kim) Seders of Smithsburg, MD; one brother, Don (Jean) DePoy of Clayton, NC; 7 grandchildren, Nick (Kelly) Seders, Chris Seders, George (Suzzana) Seders, Faith Seders, Rebecca Seders, , Timothy (Brandi) Richmond and Betsy (Jon) Scovell; 8 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Richmond, Austin Richmond, Carter Scovell, Bryce Scovell, Charity Seders, Evangeline Seders, Shepherd Seders and Ezra Seders; one sister- in-law Sharon Seders; and three close nephews, Chuck (Diane) DePoy, Darrin (Annette) DePoy and Rick Nutter, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Weir High School. She had previously been employed at G. C. Murphy’s, Fisher’s Big Wheel, Weirton Steel, Hancock County Clerk’s Office, and the Hancock County Board of Education as a Bus Aide and a Teacher’s Aide, from where she retired.
Patricia loved her family and friends deeply. She was particularly fond of children, especially her grandkids and her “bus” kids. Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton, WV. She lived her Christian faith in word and deed. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial Service will be held in Weirton, WV on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 3301 West St. Interment will follow at the Pierpoint Cemetery in Alma, WV.
