JOHN KOSANOVICH
John Kosanovich, 78, of Weirton, passed, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his residence following a brief illness.
Born October 9, 1945, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late John and Rose Munas Kosanovich.
John was also preceded in death by his infant daughter; infant grandson and sister in-law, Nancy Blankenship.
He was a graduate of Weir High School Class of 1963. John was a proud member of the United States Army serving during Vietnam. He later retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he dedicated 31 years.
He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox in Steubenville. John also served as a member of Serbian men’s club.
John will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Debra L. Zaladziejewski Kosanovich whom he married on May 12, 1973; son, Steven Kosanovich and his wife, Amanda of Weirton; brothers: George Kosanovich (Loretta) and Eli Kosanovich (Terri); brother in-law, Thomas Zaladziejewski (Carol) of Weirton and several nieces and nephews.
Per John’s wishes no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can made to Serbian Men’s Club or Valley Hospice.
