JAMES MECA

He was born September 3, 1933, om Follansbee, WV to the late James and Louise Marocco Meca Sr.

James retired from Conrail Railroad as a Freight Coordinator and was a long-time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a member of the Cedar Lodge, and the Theta Chi Alpha.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Nini Belle Blosser Meca who passed March 5, 2023, two brother Geno Meca and Joseph Meca, two sisters Rose Mecca Ferguson and Stella Penella.

He is survived by his son Steve Meca (Pam), two daughters Michalene “Mickie” Diserio and Michelle Meca all of Follansbee, WV three grandchildren Megan Pietro (Brian) New Cumberland, WV, Margo (Jimmy) Scherich of Weirton, WV, Molly Diserio of New Brunswick, NJ, six great grandchildren Anthony, Dominic, Luca, Olive, Lola and Violet, a great granddaughter Gianna, and several nieces nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will take place on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. then again on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV until the time of the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Gerald Muoka as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
