DAVID HOPE

David E. Hope Sr., 81, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away on March 16, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born September 7, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Pearly and Dorothy (Wood) Hope. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Bill Hope.

David was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked for 38 years and loved playing cards in his spare time. He was a member of Bell Chapel Methodist Church.

David is survived by his wife, Lois (Carter) Hope; son, David (Suzanne) Hope, Jr.; daughter, Heidi Winkler; sister, Jane (Frank) Bigler; grandchildren, Matthew Hope, Elizabeth Hope, Hannah Winkler, and Lillie Wilson; sisters-in-law, Paula Hope and Linda Wells-Hope; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville, Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service is Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Proya officiating. Entombment follows at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
