CANDACE McCANN

She was born on March 2, 1951, in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Guy and Odessa (Mouse) Mace. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by infant twin siblings.

Candace graduated from Wellsburg High School and earned her master’s degree in education from West Virgnia University. She retired from Wellsburg Primary School where she was a teacher and devoted 20 years to caring for and loving all children. Candace was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wellsburg.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Robert H. McCann at home; one stepson, Justin (Jessica) McCann of Orlando, FL; three granddaughters, Gabrielle, and Caitlyn McCann and Sritha Sridhar; one brother, Everett Mace and one sister, Vickie Mace both of Wellsburg, WV; and three special lifetime friends Linda Arbogast of Follansbee, WV, Nancy Hubbard and Nancy Conley both of Wellsburg, WV.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, March 2nd from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Mary Jane Knapp officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV.
