ORLANDO “CHICO” DeSTEFANO
Orlando “Chico” Jesus DeStefano, 89, of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away on December 28, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1934, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to parents, Bartolome DeStefano and Mary Mercedes (Rossi) DeStefano.
Chico came to the United States as a young man, attended Follansbee High School, served in the United States Army and he embraced this country and everything about it as his own. He was an avid bowler and golfer, he loved music and dancing and was known for being an outgoing, easy and caring individual. He married Eve and had one daughter, Yvonne. His one and only grandchild, Alexander, was the apple of his eye. Everyone was always happy to see Chico. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Orlando is survived by his daughter, Yvonne (David) Seitz; and grandson, Alexander (Lauren) Seitz.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eve (Pekera) DeStefano; and his parents, Bartolome and Mary DeStefano.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
