DORIS CASUCCIO

Doris J. Kemp Casuccio, 88, formerly of Richmond, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023.

Doris was born in Steubenville, the eldest daughter of the late William and Elsie McCann. Doris graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School. A cheerleader, she maintained life-long friendship with her classmates. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Weirton through the 1990’s and enjoyed the sisterhood there. Doris followed the Roman Catholic faith throughout her life.

A talented businesswoman she with her husband built owned and operated Smoking Stone Lodge near Richmond through the 1970’s. She later worked locally at Marlins and The Creegan Company. Relocating to Las Vegas she again worked in sales at Luxor-MGM and The Bellagio Resort Casinos. In every employment Doris maintained an excellent know- ledge of the business and achieved high goals for herself and her employers.

Preceding Doris in death were her first husband, C. Marshall Kemp, and second husband, J. Edmond Casuccio, her brothers, Raymond and Paul McCann, sister, Joyce Eddy and two infant children. Doris is survived by a brother, Bernard (Ruth) McCann and a sister- in-law, Nancy McCann.

Doris was the loving and caring mother of her 3 surviving children, Raul(Beth) Kemp, Willowfawn Kemp ) and Grant (Cindy) Kemp; 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She had many talents, loved flowers, interior decorating and being with people. Doris found great joy in her family and making new friends. Private Services were held by the family.

The family would like to thank all those who gave professional care and extended personal concern to Doris and her family. They would like any memorial donations to be made to Amedisys Hospice or The Alzheimers Foundation.
