AMSTERSDAM - The Rogers Park Flea Market is set for Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a full day of vendors, food, raffles and activities planned for the community.
Organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with traffic, ticket sales and keeping the park tidy. Donations of basketballs, pop and water also are being accepted for the community.
Brianna Whitehead will offer $5 nail trims near the dog park for those bringing their dogs to the event.
A lineup of food trucks and drink vendors will be on hand, and organizers also are hoping to find a local produce grower interested in setting up a stand.
Vendors can set up the day of the event by choosing an available spot. The vendor fee is $20, and alcohol sales are not permitted.
Several raffles will be held throughout the day, including a Bang Bang Raffle, Lottery Tree Basket, 50/50 and the final drawing for a $250 gas card.
All proceeds will benefit the Amsterdam VFW, Amsterdam Fire Department, Edison Youth Baseball & Softball and United Way.
Custom shirts celebrating the first annual Rogers Park Flea Market also will be available.
