Weirton man faces sexual abuse charges

WEIRTON - A city resident is facing sexual abuse charges following his arrest Monday.

According to information released by Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush, Chalmer Allen Noble, 55, of 131 School St., has been charged with six felony counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or person in a position of trust.

"The investigation involves a child that was in the care of Mr. Noble at his residence," notes Kush.

The case was investigated by the Weirton Police Department’s Detective Unit and the Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services.

According to Kush, Noble was arraigned through Hancock County Magistrate Court, and issued a $120,000 bond, before being transported to the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville where he currently is being held.
