About 25 residents of Ohio and West Virginia took to the sidewalks in front of Weirton’s Millsop Community Center on Sunday to stand for democracy on Flag Day and against the policies of the Trump administration. The event was sponsored by Upper Ohio Valley Indivisible, an activist group based in Weirton. “We stand with those who want to honor what our American flag represents. The flag is our symbol of our democracy,” said Tim Reinard, UOVI president. The organization is planning to hold more patriotic events in the future.
