MINGO JUNCTION — Village Council has scheduled a special meeting Monday at 6 p.m. to interview several more candidates for a vacant council seat.

Council President Pro Tem Adam Peeler said they want to talk with candidates before picking one to serve the unexpired term in office of former councilwoman Patricia Cramblett, who resigned her seat in March.

The meeting will open in public session, but Peeler said they’ll go behind closed doors for the discussion.

Council meets in the village building, 501 Commercial St., Mingo Junction.
