Hancock County Grand Jury Indicts 13
NEW CUMBERLAND — A Pennsylvania woman who allegedly went to a gas station instead of calling first responders after her boyfriend overdosed and a Chester man who allegedly pummeled a man he’d already knocked unconscious during a fight outside a VFW post were among 13 people ordered by a Hancock County grand jury this week to stand trial.
Three others were ordered to stand trial for alleged sexual offenses, Prosecuting Attorney Steven Dragisich reports.
Indicted on a charge of malicious assault was Louis Patrick Gallo, 415 Middle Run Rd., Chester. Authorities allege Gallo, 64, had been arguing with a patron at the Chester VFW post and, when they took the dispute outside, “hit the other man a number of times and kept hitting him” even after he was unconscious.
Grand jurors also indicted Caitlyn Lesneski, 36, 14 Cherry St., Burgettstown, on a charge of failing to render aid. Authorities allege Lesneski and her boyfriend were doing drugs, and when he overdosed, instead of calling 911, she went to Sheetz and the boyfriend died.
Indictments also were returned against:
— Dustin McKinley Smith, Abingdon, Va., solicitation of a minor. Authorities allege Smith, 38, had been in a relationship with a 13-year-old girl for a little over a year before the child’s mother found out about it.
— Caleb Daniel Blake, 117 Still St., New Cumberland, second-degree sexual assault and first-degree sexual abuse. Blake, 20, allegedly had intercourse without consent of the other party, who authorities maintain was “passed out sleeping, and alcohol was involved as well.”
— Shane Allen McIntyre, 26, Pittsburgh, third-degree sexual assault. McIntyre allegedly had illegal relations with a girl under the age of 16, authorities said.
— Joel Curtis Polley, 38, 703 Wheeling Ave., Glen Dale, entry of a building other than a dwelling and petty larceny.
— Christopher Lee Cutright, 50, 89 Kiefer Way, Weirton, entry of a building other than a dwelling and petty larceny.
— Stephen Anthony Suppa, 49, 729 Fernwood Dr., Toronto, entry of a building other than a dwelling, petty larceny and entry of a commercial property.
Polley, Cutright and Suppa allegedly were involved in separate copper thefts from mill properties in Weirton.
— Richard Daniel Camerlin Jr., 66, 32 Cypress Lane, Chester, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to deliver.
— Charles R. Willard, 43, 256 Carolina Ave., Chester, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to deliver. He also was indicted on unrelated charges of domestic battery, unlawful restraint and petit larceny.
— Karen Sue Culp, 41, 707 St. Clair Ave., Apt. 16, East Liverpool, four counts of delivery of cocaine, along with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to deliver.
Authorities allege evidence of illegal drug activity, including packaging materials, was located when agents searched Camerlin’s home and took both men into custody. Culp allegedly made several drug deliveries, they said.
— Reindicted on charges of attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment involving a firearm was Roe Degenhardt Baker, 72, 1313 Arner Rd., Chester. Originally indicted in January, Baker allegedly fired shots at a traveling handyman and tried to evict him after he worked for her while she had allowed him to stay in a camper on her property and use her kitchen and bathroom. Authorities allege the shots “came dangerously close to hitting him.”
— Reindicted on drug charges was Christian Louis McDonald, 3433 Pennsylvania Ave., Apt. 3, Weirton. The new indictment, which alleges McDonald, 36, possessed fentanyl with intent to deliver and conspired to possess fentanyl with intent to deliver, reflects an updated analysis of substances.
