Hancock County looking for vehicle that struck a pedestrian

NEW CUMBERLAND — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to locate the driver of a red vehicle that may have been involved in a hit and run in the county late last week

According to a press release issued Saturday afternoon, a male subject was struck by a vehicle at 2:50 p.m. Friday while he was walking near Newell Polymers located at 7743 Ohio River Blvd.

The victim required emergency surgery and is recovering in a Pittsburgh hospital, according to the sheriff’s office
