State Trooper of the Year named

STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced Ian Lowry of Cadiz is its Trooper of the Year for 2025.
A graduate of Hubbard High School in Trumbull County, Lowry joined the 165th Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy Class in 2018 and was assigned to the Steubenville post in 2019.
Fellow officers in the post chose him for the honor because of his leadership skills, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
It is the first time he has received the honor, and he now is in the running for District and State Trooper of the Year honors.
Lowry, who is 29, resides with his wife and two sons in Cadiz.
