Big move coming

Members of the Rotary Club of Weirton Heights welcomed representatives of the Community Bread Basket to their Jan. 6 meeting. They included Administrator Jeanie Montgomery and board President Marilyn Charnie, who discussed their plans to relocate the local charitable organization to 3265 Main St. in Weirton, as well as services they provide to assist area residents. The move to the former WesBanco branch building was made possible by former Weirton residents Bill and Nena Beynon, who purchased the building and donated it to the Bread Basket. The organization operates a food pantry, offers utility assistance and the Gabriel Project, which provides baby items such as diapers, clothing and other supplies. For information on the Community Bread Basket, call (304) 748-7595 or email cbbstaff03@gmail.com. Taking part in the discussion were Rotary Club President Cathie Caranda, left, and Charnie. — Contributed
