Volunteer sought for C.H.A.N.G.E. board

WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Commission seeks a Brooke County resident to represent it on the C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc. board of directors.

Letters of interest should be submitted to the office of County Clerk Kimberly Barbetta at the county courthouse.

Toronto planning commission to meet

TORONTO — The Toronto Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the City Building to consider the proposed addition of hookups for recreational vehicles near the north end marina.

Valve installation planned in Weirton

WEIRTON — Crews with the Weirton Area Water Board are scheduled to install a water valve on Sinclair Avenue Saturday, beginning at 7 a.m.

During the valve installation, water service will be interrupted at Weir High and Middle schools, as well as on Sinclair Avenue, Front Street, Swartz Street and Heights Street.

A boil notice will be issued following the work, and customers are asked to refrain from doing laundry during this time because of the potential for discolored water.
