Dinner held
The Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District held its 81st-annual Meeting and Banquet Monday at the St. Florian Event Center in Wintersville. Among those recognized during the event, which had the theme of “Charting a Court in Conservation,” were, from left, front, Ken Perkins, treasurer, and Mark Nelson, board chair, who each were re-elected to the board; and, back, Dan Mayhugh, owner of Dig-it-Man Construction, who received the Special Recognition Award; Mike Ruthem and Peg Zende, recipients of the Distinguished Service Award; Danny and Belinda Boyce of the Golden Promise Farm, recipients of the Conservation Cooperator of the Year Award; and Wendee Dodds, district administrator.
