Phantom Fall Fest at Kennywood nearing end

FRIGHETNING THRILLS — Visitors will be able to travel through Ghostwood Estate on foot Friday and Saturday as Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest comes to an end. -- Contributed

PITTSBURGH — There are only two days left to experience Phantom Fall Fest at Kennywood.

To celebrate, the park is upping the scare level with a new haunted experience. For two nights only, today and Saturday, visitors will have the chance to make their way through Ghostwood Estate like never before: On foot and with only a flashlight to guide their group. Visitors beware, as there are more than just Lord Kenneth Ghostwood’s typical unwanted spirits lurking in the shadows. You never know who — or what — will be waiting for you.

Plus, this is the final weekend for Steel Curtain, Phantom’s Revenge, Sky Rocket and other select thrill rides until next year.

Those who have not yet visited this spooky season are in for a treat with the all-new haunt, Detached. Brave souls are encouraged to pull themselves together as they enter the terrifying toy store of the Puppet Master. His delusional quest to build the perfect puppet has led him deeper into madness. Now, he’s handpicking the parts he desires from the brave people who enter his shop. Those who enter should keep their head on straight if they are going to survive a trip through a world of deranged dolls and manic marionettes.

The fall-themed event also offers family-friendly daytime activities, a variety of seasonal food and beverage offerings and Kennywood’s signature rides and attractions. Those looking to experience this USA Today 10 Best Theme Park Halloween Event can save up to 50 percent on tickets online for a limited time.
