Tweed Avenue station to go online

STEUBENVILLE — The new Tweed Avenue pump station will be brought online Wednesday.

Water Superintendent Jim Jenkins said they don’t anticipate any water quality issues from the work, “however, this is a new system.”

“Starting a new system there is always a potential for unexpected issues to arise,” he said. “If any customers in the downtown pressure system or the West End pressure system experience low water pressure, discoloration or loss of water (they should) call the filtration plant immediately upon discovery at (740) 283-6041.”

Jenkins thanked residents for “their patience and understanding as (crews) continue to work to improve our water system.”
