SVRTA plans special meeting
STEUBENVILLE — The Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority will hold a special board meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert J. Cutri, Modal Center.
The meeting will cover the insurance plan and state funding.
County road work set
STEUBENVILLE — This week’s work schedule for the Jefferson County Engineer’s Office includes:
• Chip-seal: Toronto and Knox Township
• Spot paving: County Road 43 (Ross Ridge-Alikanna Road)
• Bridge replacement: County Road 11 (Piney Fork Road) and Knox Township Road 289
• Contract mowing: Various roads
• Contract tree trimming: County Road 54 (Bergholz-New Somerset Road)
Greenbrier Road to close today
WEIRTON — Greenbrier Road will be closed between Campbell Lane and Cove Road from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, for road maintenance.

Paving set on Weirton’s Main Street
WEIRTON — A portion of the southbound lanes of Main Street, from Maryland Street to Hudson Street, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, for paving.
Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.
The project schedule could be changed as a result of inclement weather or other circumstances.
