Special meeting in Knox Township
TORONTO — The Knox Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday for the purpose of employment.
The meeting will be held in executive session at the Township Administrative Building, 25 township Road 247, Toronto.
Power pole replacement set
STEUBENVILLE — Area motorists who use state Route 7 in the city are advised delays could be possible Monday through Wednesday, according to the city’s Engineering Department.
Crews from American Electric Power will be removing and replacing a power pole at the intersection of Route 7 and Washington Street between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. those days, weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained by the use of flaggers, but delays are expected and drivers are asked to be alert for traffic pattern changes.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
This work will affect traffic on southbound Route 7 as well as traffic entering and exiting Washington Street.
County announces road closure
STEUBENVILLE — A portion of Springfield Township Road 472 (Ridgewood Drive) will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Monday and continuing until further notice, the Jefferson County Engineer’s Office announced.
The road will be closed near the north intersection with state Route 43 while work is conducted on a bridge replacement project.
No through traffic will be permitted at that point.
Steubenville school board meeting changed
STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville City Board of Education has changed the time of Tuesday’s meeting.
The board will meet at 8 a.m. instead of 6 p.m. because of a scheduling conflict. The meeting will be held at the board office, 611 N. Fourth St.
County DD board to meet
STEUBENVILE — The Jefferson County Board of Developmental Disabilities will meet in regular session at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be held in the administrative offices, 250 John Scott Highway.
