Augusta Levy accepting more early intervention clients

WHEELING — The Augusta Levy Learning Center is now accepting more clients for its early intervention program for young children with autism.

The program is grounded in the Early Start Denver Model, a research-backed, evidence-based intervention program that emphasizes child-led play to foster communication, cognitive and social development during the critical early years of life. ESDM integrates principles from applied behavior analysis within a natural setting, and focuses on a framework tailored specifically to toddlers and preschool aged children with autism.

The program features:

• One-on-one therapy rooted in the Early Start Denver Model;

• Highly trained staff experienced in early autism intervention;

• Developmentally appropriate goals focused on communication, social skills and behavior; and

• A fun, play-based approach driven by each child’s interests and strengths.

Parents and individuals interested in enrolling their child in the program can contact the center directly to learn more and schedule an intake assessment.
