Vigil today for child abuse awareness

STEUBENVILLE — A Child’s Place Court-Appointed Special Advocates will hold its Light of Hope candlelight vigil to remember the many abused and neglected children it has served at 7 p.m. today at Historic Fort Steuben, 120 S. Third St.

Attendees may sponsor luminaria for $5 or more to support efforts by the nonprofit organization to represent children involved in abuse and neglect cases in Brooke, Hancock and Jefferson counties.

There also will be blue pinwheel bouquets for sale for $15 each.

Entertainment will be provided by Studio B, Cooper Crow and Evan Con.

Food will be sold by the Rusty Bull Taco and So Nuts 4 Donuts food trucks.

Township trustees to meet

TORONTO — The Board of Trustees of Knox Township has called a special meeting to be held at the township garage at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss and take action on personnel matters.
