The Steubenville Dunkin’ was buzzing with excitement when local police departments invited kids to decorate their own doughnuts Thursday morning. Chief Willie McKenzie III of the Mingo Junction Police Department, left, and Capt. Joe Buchmelter of the Steubenville Police Department helped to distribute trays of doughnuts, sprinkles and frosting for kids to use. The free event was sponsored by the Steubenville Dunkin’ store and organized for community building by the Mingo Junction Police Department. One week prior, the department collaborated with 7 Ranges Entertainment to sponsor around 30 kids to have a free evening of games and food at the center.
