Lincoln Avenue waterline work set
STEUBENVILLE -- Crews will begin installing a new main waterline on Lincoln Avenue Monday as part of the West End water system improvement project, Steubenville officials report.
The first sections to be installed will be between Tweed Avenue and South Fourth Street along Lincoln Avenue, which will require lane restrictions and changes to traffic patterns in this area, they said.
Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work is expected to take several weeks. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during this work, and those who need to travel through the construction area should be cautious and aware of changing traffic conditions.
Water quality is not expected to be affected during this phase of the project. Updates will be issued as work progresses to other areas of the project.

Crabbe Boulevard work to begin
STEUBENVILLE -- The Crabbe Boulevard Roadway Improvement Project will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and continue each day throughout the week, weather permitting.
This phase of work will involve the installation of handicapped curb ramps within the project limits. Traffic will be maintained; however, motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays. After preparation, a new hot-mix asphalt surface will be placed several weeks later.
Project streets will be posted "no parking" at least one day in advance. If vehicles are left on the street, vehicles will be towed and owners will be responsible for towing and storage fees. The city has contracted with NLS Paving Inc. of St. Clairsville on the project.
The following streets are included in this contract: Crabbe Boulevard from North Forest Avenue; from North Forest to Pico Street; and from Sunset Boulevard to Wilshire Boulevard.

Roads to be patched
The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced crews will be patching St. Johns Road in Colliers and Apple Pie Ridge Road in the Beech Bottom area in the near future as part of a statewide effort to address potholes.
Drivers should be prepared for delays.
Lane restrictions set for U.S. 22
WEIRTON -- The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced intermittent lane restrictions will be in place Monday through Friday on U.S. 22 from Three Springs Drive to the Pennsylvania state line.
The restrictions will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily, as part of a planned sign revitalization project. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.
