Officials with the Ohio Valley Health Center stood Sunday with auctioneers who helped with the center's 18th-annual gala, entitled "And They're Off! The Race for Hope, Health and Healing." The Kentucky Derby-themed gala is a major fundraising event, providing nearly one-third of the clinic's yearly operational budget. The clinic itself provides free health care for Ohio Valley residents with little-to-no medical insurance, regardless of their ability to pay.
